If anyone has flu like symptoms please don’t come to the salon and I will reschedule your appointment. If you have had the virus it would be a good idea to wash your dog once you have recovered but remember to brush, brush, brush, while waiting for your appointment.

Hi everyone, I hope you are all well.
Just to say Bark N Bubbles is open, I will be contacting everyone that was booked in from lockdown, I have huge backlog to catch up on so please wait for me to contact you, no queue jumping!
However I do want to focus on the dogs with coats that are likely to matt for example wool coats like cockerpoo, shitzu.

The way I will work is that customers enter the reception remove their dogs collar harness and leave, there will be social distancing so you can still speak to me. I will be wearing my PPE I will then collect your dog and put them straight into the bath ready for grooming.

My salon and equipment is disinfected after each dog as well as the customer door handles and call button.
Before your dog leaves I will spray with leucillin as a precaution, hand sanitizer will be provided for you.
I know you are all anxious to have your pooches pampered so please bear with me while I try to catch up.
I hope all this makes sense thank you for waiting patiently.

A treatment tablet fits inside the special shower head and dissolves while Pip is rinsed off.

The CO2, hydrogen and bicarbonate improve blood circulation and settle the pH of the blood and skin.

At Bark ‘n’ Bubbles along with the traditional grooming, clipping and bathing we offer teeth cleaning.

Good dental hygiene not only prevents bad breath but also makes a huge difference to a dogs health in general. The bacteria from plaque and tartar buildup in your dog’s mouth and can spread to the bloodstream and to other organs such as heart, liver and kidneys.

Tartar also builds up along the gum line pushing the gums back, this exposes the roots making them sensitive, causing pain, discomfort and instability.

So what is the answer?

Preventing the need for veterinary procedures under anaesthetic (like descaling  and extraction) by using ultrasound dental cleaning while the teeth are still healthy and not causing pain.

The Emmi-pet Ultrasonic toothbrush is not abrasive and has been made more acceptable to pets by having no sound or vibration. The ultrasound encourages healing as well as cleaning because it penetrates the gums by up to 12 mm. There is no physical motion required the bristles are just rested on the teeth and gum and the imperceptible  high frequency waves cause the bacteria that make up the plaque to be broken. The Ultrasonic Piezo-Chip is contained in the detachable head of the toothbrush and generates up to 96 million ultrasonic waves per minute.

Emmi-pet have also formulated a toothpaste for use with the ultrasound. ‘Micro bubbles’ are generated and react with the ultrasonic waves and implode. This eliminates food particles, plaque and bacteria from the mouth.

A one-off treatment will have little benefit, it is best done regularly at monthly intervals for example.
